Post-2024 Elections
The dust is settling on the 2024 elections and this post presents an update on the gubernatorial elections.

Going into the 2024 elections there were 27 Republican governors and 23 Democratic governors.
There are 11 gubernatorial contests in 2024. Of these 11, eight are held by Republicans and three are held by Democrats.
There will be at eight new governors. There were no changes in party control in governors’ races in 2024.
